It all started in the year 2000 with 'The Quest for Simillimum', a tiny program written for a Homeopath by her husband who was a software engineer. It was written as a simple to use program to help find the remedy as quickly as possible. Over the years it changed and developed as she worked on her cases and he brought on those improvisations. Soon colleagues and homeopaths around found the program interesting and wanted to use it as well...
After years of intense work on and in the program, along with the practical suggestions and hints received from Homoeopaths and students from around the world, it has developed into an amazing program with some unbelievable features. To top it all is the powerful Quest feature not found in any other Homeopathic software today.
Having said so it still retains one of the most friendly user interfaces which has always been our focus. The software helps health practitioners using Homeopathy perform their basic function - that is to find the right remedy in the quickest possible way.
Moving to Sydney has been one of the most fulfilling phase of our lives for Atul and me. The first thing that I discovered after years of practicing Homeopathy was a passion for teaching. As I tried to make homeopathy as simple as possible for my students here, I realised that I am a better teacher than a Homeopath!!
I have been privileged to learn Homoeopathy from some of the most dedicated teachers in India, and in a way I hope to pass that passion across to my students here so that they experience the joy of Homeopathy which I did when I was a student myself. I wanted them to understand that Homeopathy was not just rubrics, heavy books and cumbersome Repertorisations. I guess that the software evolved as a part of this process.
The success of the software would have been impossible without the wonderful Homeopathic community here especially my students who have been such a constant source of encouragement and inspiration. Every difficulty and query that my students, both Homoeopaths as well as Naturopaths, faced in the course and clinic, have encouraged us to come up with a solution. And I think the story of HomeoQuest is all about finding these solutions.
We believe HomeoQuest would be equally useful to Naturopaths who find Homoeopathy fascinating but tiring.
